Members of Cantilena Choir were pleased to sing together on several occasions last autumn when we were grateful to St John's Church for providing a Covid-secure venue in which to gather, and to our conductor, Tony Bevan, for making this possible.

Unfortunately, despite the choir regrouping in May to prepare for summer concerts at Edgarley and St John's Church, circumstances put paid to our plans.

However, we are delighted to announce that we will be resuming rehearsals on Tuesday 7th September, 7.30pm, at St Mary's RC Church Hall, Glastonbury, when new singers will receive an especially warm welcome.

Our concert on Friday, 10th December, 7.30pm in St John's Church, Glastonbury, will be largely a programme of sumptuous seasonal music from the 15th and 16th centuries, including the Missa de Beata Virgine by Josquin des Prez, a work much loved by our former Chairman, Julia Barrett, who sadly passed away last year and to whom this concert is dedicated.

We are so looking forward to seeing you again!
